As a mother, and a first-grade teacher, I have developed a strong love for children’s books. Actually growing up, I always wanted to be a children’s book author and illustrator. As much as I loved finding books with beautiful illustrations and an instructing story line when I was a child, that love has only grown as I became a teacher and then a mother. I am always searching for new books to read with my students and my girls that have an inspiring message and illustrations. I can’t describe the feeling of finding a book that is beautiful from the inside and out. A book that encourages, motivates, and teaches with a positive message, and has illustrations that can be displayed as a piece of art. Today, I am sharing 20 (even though I could have share SO many more) of my current favorite children’s “inspiring reads”.
