Can you hardly believe that summer is just around the corner? This school year has just flown by and I am excited for all the fun things we have planned as a family. Adelyn will be finishing her second year of preschool in just a couple weeks so I wanted to share the gift we made together for her teacher using Snapfish.
I was so impressed with how many gift options they have from making photo books to having special photos put onto pillows and blankets. As a first-grade teacher myself, I thought about what end-of-year gifts I love to receive. I think it’s fun to receive personalized items and gifts that I know that the children were involved in. Gift cards are always appreciated and nice to receive as well. So for Adelyn’s preschool teacher I wanted to do both of these things to thank her for such a wonderful school year.
Getting Adelyn involved in making the gifts was a priority, because there is nothing more sweet for a teacher to receive a gift from a student and seeing the excitement they have in giving it. I know with her being involved in the process of making it, it truly will be memorable to give as well as her teacher to receive. We used Snapfish to make her teacher a personalized mug and journal with her name on it. I had Adelyn sit with me and browse through the many design options on the computer to finally decide on a floral mug and a striped journal.
We also customized a pack of ”thank you” cards with one of my favorite photos of her twirling. The cards came in a pack of 20 which was great because there were a few other teachers at her school that she wanted to give one to. The extras will come in handy when writing thank you cards to grandparents or friends in the future too! The back of the card had a pretty pastel rainbow background and Adelyn had fun personalizing it for her teacher with her name and a drawing.
As a teacher myself, we do receive many mugs as gifts, so to make it different in giving, we went to Lowe’s and picked out a pack of pretty flowers to plant in the mug. I figured with the mug having a floral design already, it would be neat to give it with an actual flower in it! To complete the gift, we got a card holder with a Starbucks gift card and stuck it in the dirt next to the flower.
If you are looking for to make a teacher or graduation gift this month, Snapfish has so many different personalized gift options. To top it off, the prices are VERY affordable and they always have a special or discount code. Right now you can get 60% off your order with a purchase over $30 with code 60MAY30.
If you haven’t come up with an idea for your child’s teacher, I hope some of these ideas helped! Teachers put in so much time and effort throughout the year with our children. I think it’s so important to show them that we appreciate them and thank them for all that they have done.
“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.”
side note: While Adelyn and I were looking at different gift options, we also came across the idea to put your children’s art into a photo book as a keepsake. So over the school year you would collect your child’s art and then take a photo of each piece and upload the photos into a photo book. I thought this was such a great idea as I have wondered how we are going to keep/organize all the artwork our kids will come home with over the years. Just an idea I thought I would share!

Hey there mama! Love these teacher gift ideas. Especially the thank you card with your daughter’s picture on it. So personal! Would you mind sharing where your daughter’s outfit is from? The combo of the yellow parle l’amor mixed with the stripes is too cute for words. And while I’m here… congratulations on baby #3!!
Hi! Thank you so much! The outfit is from Zara!
