Month Four Favorites

I don’t know how it happened, but I blinked and my sweet pea turned 4 months. Emery Jane has turned into quite the giggler. She is so, so ticklish and even laughs at her sister when she is doing something funny. Her smiles, laughs, and complete personality, just fill our hears with so much happiness. God blessed us with another easy, sweet, beautiful baby girl.

Emery is now weighing at exactly 16 pounds. One pound heaivier than her sister at 4 months. She loves to be talked to and will talk right back to you. She is so ticklish, especially on her neck and belly. Emery still loves to be swaddled, mostly at night. She is a great sleeper and continues to sleep through the night. Loves her pacifier and to be sitting up rather than lying down. Here are a few other favorites from the last 4 months!!

// 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Last, our favorite new development in the last month is blowing raspberries. Adelyn never really did this, so it really makes us laugh when she does it. She does it so much, and so long, that her shirt ends up soaked from all the bubbles she blows while doing it.

Happy 4 months baby girl! We love you!

Sister Style – GAP Friends and Family Sale

As much as I don’t want to see summer go, I am absolutely loving all the new fall styles/ trends that are on the rise. Especially for babies and toddlers. I thought it would be fun to share some of the new pieces I picked up for the girls during the GAP friends and family sale that started yesterday. If you are card holder, you can get 40% off using the code FFCARD and there are no exclusions! That means that it is a great time to snag a few pairs of pjs or something from the newborn collection, as those are rarely on sale. It also is a great time to shop because you can also earn GAP Cash – $25 for every $50 spent! If you aren’t a card holder, there is still a 35% discount which is great for any back-to-school shopping you are needing to do!

Here are few great staples to make the transition-to-fall for any little girl’s wardrobe!

Tiny Love List – Adelyn’s Favorites (Part two)

Happy Friday! Today we are sharing Adelyn’s final four product reviews from her favorite shops! Stick around because on Monday you can enter on my Instagram page to win a prize package containing something from every shop! The shops we are sharing today all represent who she really is; a sweet little bookworm, who is also a free-spirited little adventurer.

Bow Clips // Book // Backpack // Girl Doll

Adelyn is obsessed with dolls so this beautiful, handmade, dolly-making shop was a no-brainer to be on her favorite list. The 3 and 3 Handmade shop custom currently makes dolls, bunnies, and clowns to fit your child’s personality.

Adelyn loves 3 and 3 handmade because:

1.The doll was custom made to have a country /farm girl style because of Adelyn’s love of living out in the country.

2.She loves to play dress up with the doll, as each piece of clothing is custom made to fit the doll and also be removed.

3.The doll is so lovable and huggable – (as shown below)

The next shop of Adelyn’s favorites is a headband shop that she has been wearing since she was just a couple months old. Sadie Sky sells some of the most creative, high-quality, perfect headbands, clips, and headwraps for your little one.

Bow Clip // Backpack // Girl Doll

Adelyn loves Sadie Sky Boutique because:

1. Her style some days is a more classic style while other days are quirkier – Sadie Sky has headbands/wraps that match either style.

2. She is an active little toddler, and the headbands always stay put – she hardly notices them because they are made with the softest, lightest material.

3. She loves to do her own hair by putting a clip to hold her bangs back. The best part is the clips never slip out of her thin hair.

Bow Clip // Backpack

It’s no secret that Adelyn loves to read. A few of her favorite current books are by AJ Angsley, A is for Ant, B is for Bear, and C is for Cockatoo. Each book features words of the corresponding letter it is about and they have encouraging, inspiring message for children to believe in themselves.

Books // Pajamas // Bedding

Adelyn loves books by AJ Angsley because:

1.Each book contains illustrations of bright, colorful animals – she loves to point out each one and make the animal sound

2. She loves to say her ABC’s and these books encourage her to say words that go with each letter

3. Each book ends with a mirror on the last page – her favorite part of the whole book as she gets to see herself in the mirror!

Bow Clip // Backpack // Girl Doll

The last of Adelyn’s favorites is a shop that sells the most stylish, high-quality children backpacks, purses, snack packs, and diaper bags. Swankaroo makes one-of-a-kind bags  for children or adults which all come with a durable faux leather bottom and a stylish, modern print that make up the body.

Adelyn loves Swankaroo backpacks because:

1. The fun, quirky designs match her outfits, spirit, and personality, as a toddler

2. She has been able to carry her water bottle, Leap Frog, baby doll, snack pack, 3 books, and her crayons – this bag is highly durable!

3. Adelyn loves her Swankaroo backpacks, snackpacks, and purse because they have fostered her independence and have given her a sense of responsibility.

(Unloading her treasures from the nature walk we took.)

Bow Clip // Backback // Girl Doll

We are huge supporters and fans of small shops but these eight shops are at the top of Adelyn’s favorites. They are brands and products that we have come to love over time and know that you will too. Want to win something from each shop we featured for Adelyn’s favorites? Make sure to follow my Instagram account to win a prize package that contains something from all eight shops featured starting Monday!

Tiny Love List – Adelyn’s Favorites (Part One)

This month of Tiny Love List, we are celebrating “toddlerhood” with my Addie turning two! She just radiates joy and fun, so I thought we could make this month’s product review and giveaway about her! Today, I am so excited to feature four amazing shops that have become our favorites.

Hello Glasses Frame // Strappy Playsuit

First up, is a clothing shop that Adelyn has been living in all summer. Cotton Bottom Designs makes the most beautiful pieces of clothing for both boys and girls. Our summer staple has been the strappy playsuit, but I just ordered a beautiful floral jumpsuit for the fall.

Jean Vest Sold Out – Similar One // Strappy Playsuit // Converse Shoes

Reasons Adelyn loves Cotton Bottom Designs:

 1. The designs are unique and beautiful

2. Each piece of clothing is made with the absolute softest fabric

3. The loose-fit style which allows her to be able to freely do what toddlers do – run, hop, skip, summersault etc.

Strappy Playsuit // Matching Game // Catalina Mouse

Next, is one of Adelyn’s favorite toy companies, Bannor Toys. I was immediately drawn to these wooden toys because I knew not only would Adelyn love playing with them, but they would also create such a beautiful display in her room.

Blocks // Strappy Playsuit // Bunny

Reasons Adelyn loves Bannor Toys:

1.The toys are all made with FSC certified wood and organic finishes so they are safe if she chews on them (She is currently getting her 2-year molars…)

2. Each wooden toy allows her to use her imagination

3. The ABC blocks are her favorite toy as she is having fun learning her alphabet. (“Find me the letter…”)

Paint Chip Print // Unicorn

Another one of Addie’s favorites is a modern print that goes perfectly in her room by Pixel Paper Hearts. This creative shop makes paint chip prints that are perfect for any nursery or children’s room. They are customable to add your child’s first and middle name and the color of the paint chip.

Reasons Adelyn loves the Personalized Paint Chip Print:

1. The print says her name and she is currently working saying her name and the letters in her name

2. The pale pink color matches her new “big girl” room

3. It states the day she was born on. And lets be honest, her birthday has now become her absolute favorite day of the year.

Re-Play Dishes // Hello Tank // Headband

Last of Adelyns favorite,s is a company that’s sells the absolute best dish-ware for children of all ages. Re-Play is a family owned company that produces products that are made from recycled milk jugs. They pride themselves on being a product that is U.S.A. made, durable, and that contributes to making this world a better place.

Re-Play Dishes //Watermelon Pjs

Reasons Adelyn loves Re-Play:

1. The variety of colors in each meal-time product makes it fun to match or mix colors for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

2. Meals can sometimes end up on the floor, which never results in a dish, cup, or bowl breaking.

3. Every product has encouraged and helped her through her journey of self-feeding with toddler friendly utensils and “no spill” cups.

Stay tuned for tomorrow as Adelyn will share her final four favorite products and a giveaway coming from each company on Monday!

Adelyn’s Garden Party

Last weekend we celebrated Adelyn’s 2nd birthday with a beautiful garden party. It was a party I had been planning for a while now as I had bought her dress last summer when it went on clearance from Zara. It was such a fun party to plan, especially with the help of my sister and mother. Putting a party together with a toddler and a baby is next to near impossible….so thankful they were able to help bring my dream of a garden party to life for Addie. Here are a few fun details from the party!

My friend Mel, made the cakes and they were incredible!

Cake Topper

You Are Loved Print

You Are So Loved//Felt Ball Garland

We planted flowers in clay pots to use as table centerpieces and then gave out as party favors for people to take as a keepsake.

Addie’s favorite thing about the party were the macaroons. Every time I looked, she was reaching up  and swiping one. If you can see from the photo above, all the white ones are missing on the bottom tray and she  is delicately taking a bite from one . I’m still finding macaroons she stashed in her play kitchen a week later…

My Dress //Flower Crown

The party was beautiful and more than I could have ever imagined for my Addie. She is my sweet little love and brings our family so much joy. These two years have been the best of our lives and we can’t imagine it without her.

How to With Two – Traveling

When we first booked our trip to Texas, I was like, “ok, here we go, our first trip ever with two kids”. (smile) But as time went on, panic began to set in…“what are we thinking traveling with two kids under two”?!?!

I had a couple months to plan ahead so I began looking online and talking to a few of my friends who had already traveled with kids. Before we left, I felt a little more prepared??,  but knew I would have to go into this trip with an open mind and just “going with the flow”.

Surprisingly, our trip went better than I could have ever imagined. The girls did great and I even said to my husband when we got home, “ok, so Hawaii next”? There were however, a few tips and tricks I used while traveling that made the trip go as well as it did. I hope a few of these items can help you on your next trip with kids!

Wrap Your Baby – I love this Solly Baby wrap as it is lightweight and convenient to pack in a suitcase, and also very breathable which was so perfect with the Texas heat. I wrapped Emery the entire trip because we only took a small stroller for Adelyn to get through the airport. I loved having her close to me at all times. I was able to nurse with her in the wrap and with the constant movement of walking, she would easily fall asleep in the wrap. I cannot express how thankful I was to be able to wrap Emery while traveling. I will keep the memory of wrapping her on our first trip with me forever.

Take a Small Stroller – At the last minute, we decided there was no reason for us to take our double stroller if I was going to wrap Emery. So we ran out to Target and bought this stroller. We absolutely loved how light and well made it was. I even loved that for how small it was, it still had a compartment on the bottom to place your purse, etc. I would highly recommend this stroller for traveling.

Headphones – We made sure to buy headphones about a month before the trip so that Adelyn could get use to wearing them. With headphones, she was able to listen to the laptop or iPad on the airplane and already be comfortable with wearing them.

Madeline Lily Jade Bag – I love this diaper bag as it has so many great things about it including: many pockets, the inside of it comes out, and the size is absolutely perfect – not too large and not too small. But what I love most about it while traveling is that it can convert into a backpack. It was the only carry on bag I took, and so with wrapping Emery, I had my hands free the entire time while traveling.

No-Spill Cup – Honestly any no-spill sippy cup will work while traveling but my sister-in-law showed me these sippy cups while we were in Texas and it was great for the trip back home. Adelyn loves that it feels like she is drinking from a real cup, and the best part is that it doesn’t spill.

Pacifier Clips – If you have a child who takes a pacifier, you will want to make sure that you are able to clip it to them for safe keeping. There is nothing worse than, A.) losing a pacifier while traveling and/or B.) dropping it on the airport bathroom floor. (Yup, both happened)

Washi Tape – Last, when all things seem to fail for keeping your little one occupied while traveling or on the airplane, washi tape works. Right before we were about to land, we had already pulled out every toy we brought, and Adelyn was about to lose it. She didn’t want to sit still, she didn’t want a snack, she didn’t want any toy we offered her. #toddlerproblems I then remembered the roll of washi tape we brought and began to tear off little pieces of it. I stuck it on her, on each of us, on the seat, around her finger, etc. She loved finding the little pieces and pulling them off and re-sticking them elsewhere. That little roll of washi tape helped keep her entertained longer than anything else we brought. Best $1.99 spent.

I hope that a few of these tips can help ease your mind with the idea of traveling with kids. Just remember that you are not alone when traveling with kids. It is not unusual to travel on a plane and have multiple families also traveling with their kids. Try to stay relaxed, and live in the moment with your family as you create lifetime memories.

A last little funny tidbit I have for you is, puppy pads. I was so thankful for this tip I found to take a few puppy pads in your diaper bag for diaper changes in disgusting bathrooms. This way you can just dispose of the pad instead of using your diaper changing pad and sticking it back into your diaper bag – Yuck.

Hope these all help! Any other traveling tips? Please share below!

Tiny Love Library – July Favorites

Today I’m sharing some our favorite books for July. This month we have been reading a variety of books based around a couple different themes. Some of these include a few birthday books as she turns two this month, a travel book as she takes her first plane ride, and a couple summer books that have lots of flowers and bugs to celebrate her garden themed party she will be having for her birthday.

Our July favorites include:

Happy Birthday, Madame Chapeau //Eating the Alphabet //The Watermelon Seed

Firefly July // Happy Birthday, Little Pookie // Velma Gratch and the Way Cool Butterfly

All the World // Two // Lily the Unicorn

Lately Lily // The Birthday Book // Some Bugs

The book we are reading over and over this month is Some Bugs. It has beautiful, bright artwork of all types of bugs and it such a fun book to read as it introduces new bugs. Adelyn is also obsessed with bumble bees currently and loves to “buzz” like a bee.

What are some of your favorites this month?

Tiny Love List – Stella & Wilbur

With today being the last day of June, it is also the last day of Tiny Love List, “Bringing Home Baby” series. Tomorrow will kick off the Tiny Love List giveaway where you will have an opportunity to win a prize package of something from every shop I have reviewed in this series. You will be able to enter over on my Instagram account so make sure you are following me there!

Ok, lets talk baby bonnets. Not only are they fabulous for protecting your little one’s head, but they are incredibly cute. I am obsessed with a babe in a bonnet. Bonnets are on the rise of becoming a more popular head accessory as I am finding many different shops that create them. However, when I stumbled upon Stella & Wilbur, I knew I hit the gold mine of baby bonnets.

I was first drawn to how unique every bonnet is and they are all made with stunning, bright, and fun fabrics. Second, you can’t beat the price. Most bonnet shops can be a bit pricy, but Stella & Wilbur bonnets are sold at an amazing price. And if you follow their Instagram they even sometimes run special discounts. And last, I loved the ability to snag exactly the ones I had my eye on. The bonnets are constantly being restocked which allows you to be able to get your desired bonnet.

One of the new bonnets this summer is a brimmed bonnet which can help keep the sun from your baby’s eyes. I love the classic feel that this polka dot bonnet has and how incredibly adorable it looks on Emery.

These are few of my current favorite bonnets. Make sure to follow Stella & Wilbur over Instagram as they keep you updated of new released bonnets and restocks.

Stella & Wilbur bonnets are one-of-kind and a must-have for your baby. A great everyday accessory and perfect for the summer months to protect your little one. Wanna win a bonnet for your baby? Follow me over on Instagram to have a shot at winning one starting tomorrow!

Tiny Love List – Wash With Water

For this series of Tiny Love List, I wanted to bring you some of my most loved brands for babies. I have now shared with you our favorite accessories of headbands, pacifier clips, and moccasins. I shared the best nursing cover for feeding, the greatest swaddle for sleep, and the sweetest baby book for remembering. Today, I am sharing our absolute favorite bath products for baby, Wash With Water.

I cannot recommend these bath products enough to those that have babies, toddlers, or young children. I am very cautious on what I use on my girls skin because they have sensitive skin and I want to protect it from harmful chemicals. I have used many organic and sensitive skin products on Adelyn and Emery, but Wash With Water is our family favorite.

Emery has had cradle cap since she was born, and 3 months later I am still trying to rid of it. I have tried all the home remedies and nothing was completely curing it until I used Wash With Water on her. Just a few times, and it already looks so much better. With visible proof like this, I knew I was going to be a huge fan of this product.

I love that Wash With Water is free of Petrochemicals, Phthalates, Sulfates, Parabens, Synthetic Colors, TEA, DEA, Silicons, PEGS, Dairy, Egg, Oat, Lactoperoxidase, Citrus Seed Extract, GMOs, Triclosan, Synthetic Dyes.

Instead, you will find amazing ingredients such as: Moroccan Argan Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Saponified Organic Oils of Coconut, Olive and Jojoba, Calendula Extract, and Organic Rosemary Extract.

Wash With Water has many different products including some specially made for skin conditions such as eczema. They also recently released a new line of blankets which can be purchased separately or in their gift set. How cute are these gift sets?!? Perfect for a baby shower gift!

All the products smell and feel incredible. I love knowing that I am using something so safe on my babies skin. Want to try Wash With Water for yourself? They are offering 15% off to all my readers with the coupon code: hellotinylove until July 31st. This week I will also be giving away shop credit to a lucky follower on Instagram!

Tiny Love List – The Ollie Swaddle

Today, I am sharing a secret with you on a product that has helped our new baby, Emery, with sleep. Which has then allowed us all to be able to get some sleep around here. #winning. With Adelyn, swaddling helped her with sleep, but I never found a swaddle that fit just right. Some were made too loose, while others were made with heavy fabrics that were too warm in the summer months. I began searching for the perfect swaddle before Emery was born when I came across the Ollie Swaddle on Instagram.

I started reading rave reviews from others on it and saw that it was even featured on the Today Show. I thought, “Why not?”, and ordered it. I’ve now been using it for almost 3 months and I can say it is one of the most helpful products we own to help Emery calm down or go to sleep.

Here are some neat facts about the Ollie Swaddle:

  • Made from a custom moisure-wicking stretch material to reduce over heating
  • Decreases Fussiness
  • Improves quality and duration of sleep
  • Promotes Bonding
  • Enhances Neurodevelopment
  • Opens at the bottom for easy diaper changes

We are all a huge fan of the Ollie Swaddle. It takes about 2 seconds to wrap her up in, and about 2 minutes for her to fall asleep in. The fabric is light, soft, and stretchy which helps to get the perfect swaddle. If you are in the market for a good swaddle, I highly recommend this one to parents.

I’ll be giving away shop credit to The Ollie World this coming week to use on a purchase of one your own Ollie Swaddles! Stay tuned!
